About Just Engagement
Just Engagement is a co-design project of the People’s Collaborative Governance Network in partnership with the Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA). The goal of this project was to work alongside BPDA and local communities to identify and design tools and practices to better engage residents in development decisions that impact their communities. We hope that the key interventions and examples highlighted in this report will serve as a roadmap toward more meaningful engagement practices, where residents are true collaborators in decision-making.

About PCGN
The People’s Collaborative Governance Network (PCGN) is a multi-sector initiative centering people with lived experience of racial inequities in the co-creation of tools, practices, and policies to promote equity and inclusion in Boston. PCGN is learning and demonstrating new models of governance through community-led co-design, where community members lead projects that explore novel approaches of promoting inclusion and equity, alongside government and institutional collaborators with the power to enact change.
